Preppers

Our Prepper program works to encourage self- esteem during one-on-one time and in-group activities. The creative curriculum recognizes that everyone has the capacity to learn in different ways. 

Here at Bright Kidz Preschool every child is unique and we believe that success and growth come from encouragement and praise. Our Prepper room encourages a child's natural curiosity in a fun and active learning environment. From learning to share, to potty-training, and discovering the answers to their favorite question "WHY" - are all part of the Prepper curriculum.

Using Creative Curriculum, Teachers:

Social and Emotional 

• Instill concept of taking turns
• Promote the beginning of dramatic play with dolls, animals and people themes

Language 

• Encourage the use of 2-3 sentences in communications
• Promote understanding of familiar items
• Work on recognition of letters

Cognitive 

• Begin to work with puzzles 
• Promote counting as a class and individual using sorting and matching games
• Instill the understanding of shapes, sizes, and colors

Motor Skills

• Work on fine motor skills such a drawing, painting, coloring
• Work on tracing , lacing, and cutting.
• Outdoor exploration on age appropriate playground

Bright Kidz has implemented STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) in the Preppers , Preschool and Pre-K classes daily lesson plans. 

One main objective of a STEAM education is to give children an authentic learning experience related to a real-world context. It includes multi step questions, multiple ways to approach a problem, integration across disciplines, and failure – a necessary part of learning and growing. 

Early exposure to STEAM helps children develop crucial communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. The earlier they get comfortable with STEAM concepts, the easier it is for them as they grow. 

Our teachers act as guide or facilitator for the STEAM activities prompting the children to use a hands-on approach and coming to their own conclusion.
